Something to Celebrate!

welcomekims_2013dec31

Today’s card is to celebrate some fabulous news that we have over at the MFT Blog today. Be sure to stop by there to see what the news is!

My celebratory card started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base with another layer of Sweet Tooth card stock popped up on foam. On that layer I added Skyline Border Die-namics, cut from gold glitter card stock. Then I placed a LLD Accent It – Celebrate Die-namics die cut made with Black Licorice card stock on which I stamped DC Large Scale Backgrounds with Versamark and embossed with gold glitter embossing powder (BOY, that stuff makes a mess!). I tied around some gold threaded twine with a clear button before adding sequins and clear gems.

The inside has a sentiment from the December Free With $60 set, Celebrate Big.

Thinking of You

thinkingofyou_2013dec28

In just a few days we’ll be starting MFT’s January Release Count down but I wanted to get one more card using a couple of my favorite products from the December release first. This card is also using MFTWSC #156.

For this card I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. For the next layer I stamped the line of images from MPD Damask Designs on Kraft card stock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I popped that up on foam and added a Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics layer. I cut out some LJD Grand Peaceful Wildflowers from Sweet Tooth card stock and stamped them with Jellybean Green ink, Wild Cherry ink, Orange Fizz ink, Grape Jelly ink, Bubblegum ink, and Lemon Drop ink. I trimmed the stems a bit and adhered them all to the circle, then stamped the sentiment on a strip of Sweet Tooth card stock with Steel Gray ink and popped it up.

Another sentiment from the set finished the inside off.

Warmest Wishes–MFTWSC #156

MFTWSC156_2013dec25

Merry Christmas! Hoping everyone is enjoying the day with family and/or friends. I’m back again with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

For today’s card, I started with a Kraft card stock base and added a Sno Cone card stock layer. Then I stamped Typewriter Text Background on Sweet Tooth card stock with Steel Gray ink, stamped off once. I cut a Snowflake Doily Die-namics from glitter paper and adhered it, then stamped LJD Snowflake Splendor with Sno Cone ink on Sweet Tooth card stock and cut with LJD Snowflake Splendor Die-namics. The sentiment is the top line of one of the sentiments, stamped on a strip of Kraft card stock with Steel Gray ink and popped up on foam. I finished off with some sequins and clear gems.

I stamped the rest of the sentiment on the inside.

Inspired Season’s Greetings

redsilverblack3_2013dec22

Hi, everyone! Back again with my last “inspired” card. This card was inspired by the framed piece below.

redsilverblack3insp_2013dec22

I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and, after laying out my elements, stamped the sentiment, from Cheerful Christmas Greetings in Wild Cherry ink. Then I added a Tree Lines Die-namics cut from Black Licorice card stock and Snow Drifts Die-namics, cut from chunky glitter paper—the top layer popped up on foam. The only thing left to do was to add Santa’s Sleigh Die-namics, cut from glitter paper and also popped up on foam.

Another sentiment from Cheerful Christmas Greetings was stamped on the inside.
