DTGD–Cozy Christmas Wishes

DTGD_christmas_2012jul30

Happy Monday! Back again today with a card for MY challenge over at the SCS
Dare To Get Dirty fun and games. I can’t tell you what the challenge is, but I can show you my card :) To see what the challenge *is* and be able to play along and maybe win one of the awesome prizes up for grabs, head on over to the link above and join the SCS Fan Club.

I’m using MFT’s PI – Stocking Girl set for my card. She’s colored with Copic markers and her sweet pjs are paper pieced. I cut her out with a Die-namics Rectangle STAX die cut and matted her with another. I’m also using my Die-namics Simply Scallops, Medium for the horizontal element border. I added some Fun Flock to the top of the stocking, tied a satin ribbon around, and added some twine tied buttons for balance.

Here’s the inside, with another sentiment from the set:

Dare To Get Dirty–Find Yourself

DTGD_fruit_2012jul29

Did you know that the hugely fun week of stamping known as SCS Dare To Get Dirty is ON?!?! It started yesterday and today I’m making a sample for my girl Tammy. Tammy is challenging everyone to…

…well, I can’t tell you what the challenge is—you’ll have to go
HERE to find that out :) Do hop on over and take a look, then stay to play—there are HUGE prizes to be won :) You’ll have to join the SCS Fan Club to see and play, but it’s so worth it. Just sayin’…

I CAN tell you about my card. I’m using
MFT’s Clearly Sentimental About the Journey for my front sentiment. It’s stamped on a Die-namics Textile Rectangle Frame, die only die cut and popped up on foam and on top of a Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX strip. I pulled out some paper I hadn’t used in a while and decided to see if I could make a cherry embellishment to go along with the patterned paper. I love how it turned out! I simply cut some circles with my Die-namics Circle STAX and some leaves using Die-namics Upsy Daisy. Then I hand cut some strips for the stem, adhered everything together, popped it up on a Die-namics Leafy Flourish die cut, and it was done! Other MFT products I used are: Whip Cream card stock, Berrylicious card stockSour Apple card stock and Sour Apple ribbon.

Here’s the inside, with a sentiment from another
MFT set, Clearly Sentimental About Wisdom.

Make Mine a Double–C4C #147

C4C147_2012jul28

Good morning! It’s Crazy 4 Challenges time! Today KJ is challenging us to create a card based on what we like to do on a hot summer night—I can’t think of anything better than ice cream, LOL!

I’m using a sweet
MFT set called PI-Make Mine a Double for today’s card. She was colored with Copic markers and her dress was paper pieced. Then she was cut out with a Die-namics Rectangle STAX die and matted with another. I’m also using a Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX die cut and a Die-namics Bracket Tab die cut was added under the focal image panel. Some stitching and a few embellishments and it was done! Other MFT products used: Berrylicious and Sweet Tooth card stock, and Caribbean Teal baker’s twine.

Here’s the inside with a a sentiment from the set:

Buttons Galore and More and MFT Blog Hop

buttonsgalorebloghop_2012jul26

Hi all and thanks for stopping by today!  MFT has teamed up with Buttons Galore and More to do a Blog Hop showcasing products from both companies!  To see the entire list of participating designers, please head to the MFT Blog.  You'll want to leave a comment on EACH designer's blog because there is $100 in prizes up for grabs.  MFT will be giving away 2, $25 Gift Certificates, and Buttons Galore & More will be giving away 2, $25 button assortments.  The deadline to comment is July 29th and the winners of all prizes will be announced on July 30th on the MFT and BG&M blogs, so check back to see if you've won!  (I'm crossing my fingers for you).

I’m using Clearly Sentimental About Success for my card. The buttons are the coconut shell buttons and I thought perfect for a masculine card. And I think this one would be great for a young man going off to college or starting out on a career, don’t you? I’m also use an Antique Leaf Brad in the upper right corner for balance. The sentiment was stamped on a Die-namics Clearly Sentimental Label die cut. I created a little scene at the bottom with my Die-namics Skyline Border, Die-namics Solid Skyline, and my Die-namics Star Border. MFT card stock use is Whip Cream and Hot Fudge.

Here’s the inside with another sentiment from the set.

Way to Go!–MFTWSC #82

MFTWSC82_2012jul25

Are you ready for another MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge? Here’s this week’s sketch. You can find the sketch on the MFT blog and also in the MFT forum on SCS, as well as in the weekly newsletter. The Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I’m using a set from the latest release called PI – Gymnast Girl for my card today. She was stamped on Neenah Classic Crest Cover, Solar White Smooth, 130lb paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Copic markers, and her leotard was paper pieced. Love how the paper worked on that :) Then I fussy cut her out and popped her up on a subtlety patterned paper background cut out with a Die-namics Rectangle STAX die and matted with another. The sentiment was stamped on a Die-namics Mini Tabs Foursome. I used a Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX die cut for the horizontal element and Die-namics Star STAX and Die-namics Stacking Stars for the twine-tied button embellishment. I used MFT Tangy Orange and Whip Cream card stocks, and a Lemon Drop button.

Here’s the inside with another sentiment from the set.

Because I Care–CTD #202

CTD202_2012jul25

Hello there,
Color Throwdown fans! I’m back again with a gorgeous color combo from Tammy. I confess I would never have put these colors together but they totally WORK!

swatch 202

I’m using an MFT set called Sassy & Sweet for the front sentiment. I stamped it on a Die-namics First Place Award Ribbon flag, popped it up on top of a Die-namics Dizzy Doily die cut, and topped it off with a sweet little Die-namics Upsy Daisy flower with Die-namics Royal Leaves. Some stitching, some Caribbean Teal baker’s twine, and a clear jewel trio finish it off. MFT card stock used is Blue Raspberry, Whip Cream, and Sour Apple. The button in the center of the flower is one of MFT’s new Blue Raspberry buttons.

Here’s the inside with a sentiment from
MFT’s Finishing Flourishes.
