Today we’re showing you Let's Toast Die-namics and Stamp Set and I made a little birthday gift set for my project. The set includes a card, a wine bottle tag, and some DARLING little wine glass charms.

First, the tag. I cut the tag from Fossil card stock and added a Fishtail Banner STAX die cut using patterned paper and on which I stamped one of the sweet little sentiments: Make a Wish. Adorable!! Then I created a rosette using Die-namics 1/4” Rosette. For the center of the rosette, I layered Die-namics Circle STAX from both sets and a sentiment from this stamp set.

Next up, the card. I made my background with three paper patterns and my new Fishtail Banner STAX, with which I am already IN LOVE!! Then I added some twine and some bling, and another rosette, again using Die-namics 1/4” Rosette, with the same center treatment as the bottle tag.

On the inside of the card, I formed a little pocket with another sentiment and into which I slipped a Maya Road envelope.

On the envelope, I stamped another sentiment and adhered two wine glass die cuts.

And here’s what’s in the envelope: four of the sweetest little wine charms!!! I have one on a glass to show how they look.

Have a Kickin’ Day! C4C #130

C4C130_2012mar31

Happy Saturday! Saturday means it’s time for Crazy 4 Challenges! Today Frances has a fabulous sketch for us:

C4C130-Sketch

Frances loves square cards and I don’t, but I’m doing it for her since this is her last challenge to host for a while ;-)

I really wanted to use this adorable soon-to-be-released Fred Bear called Kung Fu Fred. Isn’t he da bomb??? I just chuckle every time I look at him. And he begs to create a scene, don’t you think? I think you can see the layout pretty well and I’m using a couple of new Die-namics dies, as well, Die-namics Chevron Stripes and Die-namics Circle STAX 1 & 2.

Fred and the board were colored with Copic markers, fussy cut out and then set up in his scene. In addition to the new Die-namics dies, I’m using
Die-namics Sunshine, Die-namics Fresh Cut Grass, Die-namics Cloud Trio, and Die-namics Teardrop Tree.

Here’s the inside with Fred again and a sentiment from the set. Can’t you see this as a birthday card for a little boy?

THEN, you know what to do--we'd love to have you come along and play with us. Just do your thing with the challenge and link it to Mr. Linky on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Please link directly to your project. And, if you upload to a public gallery, please use the key word C4C130.

Flourishes Friday Focus–Signs Of Spring

FLLCFocusSignsofSpring_2012mar30wtmk

Hi there, Flourishes fans! Welcome to Friday Focus. Today we’re revisiting Signs Of Spring (which is 10% off through Sunday, April 1--get all the details at the Flourishes Blog). Appropriate for where I am, that’s for sure, although most of my daffodils are about gone. Sad, ‘cause they’re so bright and cheerful.

I stamped my lovely daffodil on Classic White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with these Copic Collections:

Evergreen Collection:

Sunflower Collection:

Gerbera Daisy Collection:

Then I made my card base using
Classic Ivory card stock, did some stitching, tied some matching ribbon around in a bow, and stamped that awesome sentiment by Monet. I popped the daffodil up on foam, added some Dew Drops in the upper right corner, and stamped the little sentiment from the set on a Tailor-Made Classic Tags Die Set die cut.

And that’s it! Now, be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has for you today...

Today we’re showing you two sets: Big Greetings, which was March’s Triple Scoop set and will be available in it’s own right on April 3rd at 10pm, and Clearly Sentimental About Anniversaries, April’s Triple Scoop set.

I’ve chosen to work with Clearly Sentimental About Anniversaries today, and I’m sharing three new Die-namics sets with you: Fishtail Flags STAX, Royal Leaves, and Circle STAX. I can’t get enough of the double ended fishtail in
Die-namics First Place Award Ribbon but now we will have different sizes of single end fishtails. Woot!! And there are two sets of Circle STAX, each with 10 different sizes! And did I mention rose leaves. Ahhhhh, I’ve been needing these for a loooooooooooong time. Just sayin’ ;-)

So, now, let me tell you what I did with them. You’ll see a little bit of the Circle STAX die cut peeking out and on top of the Die-namics Dizzy Doily element. The Fishtail Flags STAX I used made a perfect backdrop for the sentiment panel (isn’t that font GORGEOUS??!!), using Die-namics Layered Label, and embellished with “25” using Die-namics By the Numbers.

Die-namics Royal Rose is right at home with the new Die-namics Royal Leaves. Can you see the embossed “veins”?
Love.

MFT April Teaser, Day Two

teaserday2_2012mar29

Hi, there! I’m back with day two of MFT’s April Teaser line up. Today we’re previewing Inspired by Knowledge and Kung Fu Fred.

TeaserTime_FullSize

Here are the details about the upcoming release on April 3rd at 10 PM EST:

  • You can attend the New Release Party on April 3rd from 8-10 PM EST HERE in the MFT forum, where you can enjoy fun, games, and PRIZES!

I decided to do a gift card holder for a graduation gift. I figure that’s what new graduates need most, right? I went with a major credit card so it could be used anywhere a credit card can be used.

I thought since this set is all about knowledge, I would try to make the card look like a book, so I did the outside very simply and added a spine reinforcement to get the bound-book look. The “title” was stamped on  the oval from Die-namics Well Worn Greetings, then matted with a Die-namics Oval Decorative Doily Duo die cut. I added a Die-namics Royal Rose to the “title”, along with a couple Die-namics Royal Leaf accents. COULD. NOT. RESIST.

Now the inside. To make the card holder, I cut a piece of card stock to fit, then I used my Die-namics Circle STAX to cut out the notch. Sweet. The sentiment on this side is from Big Greetings, currently the Triple Scoop set, but will be available on it’s own on April 3rd at 10pm.
teaserday2_2012mar29in

Here’s a close up—I added some Die-namics Stacking Stars to add a little pizazz ;-)

teaserday2_2012mar29card

Here’s the other side, with a mortarboard and another sentiment from the set.

teaserday2_2012mar29sent

With all the layers and the gift card inside, it was just a little bulky, so I thought one of these tiny little paper clips would be a good way to keep it shut.
