My first project is a tag using the new Tag Builder Blueprints 6 Die-namics, Merry Everything stamp set and Merry Everything Die-namics from the new products. I made a cute little shaker element, using foam mounting tape and Heat Resistant Acetate card stock and filing it with Sparkling Clear Mix sequins and Topping Set – Diamonds—I love these little things!! My tag base was cut from Silver Sparkle card stock and the images were cut from X-Press It Blending Card, stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink, colored with Copic markers and popped up on foam.

The sentiment was stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock cut with Tag Builder Blueprints 6 Die-namics and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. Some baker’s twine finishes it off.

My second project is a scene card—Santa is shimmying down the chimney!

I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base then added some After Midnight card stock (appropriate, don’t you think?) cut with Snowfall – Vertical Die-namics for the night sky. I added a roof top cut from chunky glitter card stock to finish the background. To make the chimney, I cut Sweet Tooth card stock with Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics, applied molding paste through English Brick Wall Stencil, and sponged on Brick Red dye ink, again through the stencil, after the paste was dry. I made the snow around the top by cutting more glitter paper with In the Clouds Die-namics and trimming off what I needed to fit the chimney.

The images from Merry Everything were stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink on X-Press It Blending Card, colored with Copic markers, fussy cut out, and adhered with foam mounting tape. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock cut with Blueprints 27 Die-namics, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and also popped up on foam.

And that’s it for Day Five of
MFT’s October Release Countdown! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you soon!

Go Nuts!–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #300

MFTWSC300_2016sep29

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I can’t get enough of these cuties from Harvest Buddies! Obviously I changed up the shape of the opening in the sketch for my forest scene, using Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics to cut it after stamping Whimsical Woodgrain Background with Kraft dye ink on Primitive White card stock. Inside the circle I used Jellybean Green card stock cut with Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics, Birch Trees Die-namics cut from Sweet Tooth card stock with leaves cut from Tangy Orange card stock, Sour Apple card stock, and Brick Red card stock. I used Blue Breeze card stock for the sky and popped the card front up on foam mounting tape.

My little squirrel was cut with Harvest Buddies Die-namics from X-Press It Blending card, stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink, colored with Copic markers, and popped up on foam. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark on Chocolate Brown card stock cut with Tag Builder Blueprints 5 Die-namics, heat embossed with off white embossing powder, and also popped up on foam. I finished off with some enameled dots.

And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!
