Hey, Chick!–CTD #388

CTD388_2016apr13

Hi, everyone! It’s time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge! Lynn is our hostess this weekand she has picked a Spring-inspired color combo—just waitin’ to get out into the garden!

I decided to continue with the Spring theme but I didn’t want to use flowers—peeps was the next best thing to use for the yellow, I thought. So, I got out BB The Whole Herd stamp set and BB The Whole Herd Die-namics to help me create a scene.

I started with a
Sweet Tooth card stock base, then did a watercolor wash on  Ranger Watercolor paper with Peerless Watercolors and popped that up on the base. I went a little rogue with my blue, I know ;-) I added Rolling Hills Die-namics cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and Gumdrop Green card stock, added more Gumdrop Green card stock cut with Rolling Hills Die-namics, Sunshine card stock cut with Radiant Sun Die-namics, and Sweet Tooth card stock cut with Puffy Clouds Die-namics.

I cut the images from X-Press It Blending Card, stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink, and colored them with Copic markers. I popped them up on foam and added the sentiment, stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. After I popped it up on foam I was done!

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the
Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD388 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd388 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented April Guest Designer, Amy Rohl!
