MFT October Release Rewind

releaserewind1_2014oct16

Hi, everyone! It’s time for this month’s Release Rewind! I love this feature since it gives the designers a great opportunity to use some products we might not have gotten around to using during the release or to delve deeper into some others. I’m really excited about this chance to be creative with the amazing new MFT products that are available right HERE, right NOW in the MFT Boutique. To get all the details, be sure to stop by the MFT Blog.

I thought this adorable Christmas Tree Cut-Out Die-namics would make a great shaker card and it did! I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then added a layer of Sweet Tooth card stock stamped with an image from Plaid Builder Background and Cotton Candy ink, Wild Cherry ink, Sour Apple ink, and Blu Raspberry ink on the diagonal. I popped that up on foam, then cut a Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock. Next I cut Christmas Tree Cut-Out Die-namics from the center of that and created my shaker card, with a Sour Apple card stock backing and filled with matching sequins. I added a cute little gold cord garland, held in place with gold glitter paper stars cut from Sun, Moon, & Stars Die-namics.

A sentiment from Merry Messages was stamped on the inside.

My second card showcases LJD Christmas Labels and Tags.

Again, I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then cut a Stitched Square STAX Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock, embossed it with Positive Sign Stencil, matted it with silver glitter paper, and popped it up on the base. I stamped the image, from LJD Christmas Labels and Tags, on a LJD Christmas Label and Tag Die-namics with Black Licorice ink and colored in some areas with Copic markers. I popped it up on foam, added some sparkling enamel dots, and it was done.

A sentiment from PI Christmas Banner was stamped on the inside.
