Easter Banner

easterbanner -2013mar17

Since there’s only two more weeks until Easter, I thought I’d better get this Easter banner posted before it was too late ;-) It’s almost exclusively made with MFT products and I love it.

I went with a blue and yellow color pallet to match my dining room—I’m *all* about matching :) The base for each of the pennants is the same: Kraft corrugated paper, Nightshift Blue card stock, and patterned paper cut with the three largest sizes of Die-namics Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX. The header was cut from more corrugated paper with the header from Die-namics Jumbo Banner Day STAX

Next, I added a small amount of Gumdrop Green card stock on each pennant, followed by a Die-namics 1/4” Rosette medallion. Next is another corrugated element: a Die-namics Circle STAX disc, topped with Die-namics High-Rise Alphabet Uppercase letters.

At this point, each pennant got a little something different. For the “E”, I used a Die-namics Leaf-Filled Flourish and a bird from Die-namics Contempo Cage Die Only. The “A” got some grass courtesy of the new Die-namics Grassy Edges, and I hid some eggs cut using Die-namics LJD Easter Elements, with a backdrop of a Die-namics Lattice Fence.

For the “S”, I used a Die-namics Fancy Flourish for the greenery, and popped up a Die-namics Butterflies die cut, with a hemp cord tied Nightshift Blue button for the center.

The “T” sports more grass and a peep from Die-namics LJD Easter Elements.

For the last two sections, the “E” has a Die-namics Medium Leafy Flourish and a Die-namics Rolled Scallop Flower and the “R” has more grass and the bunny from  Die-namics Woven Basket.

Finally, I joined the pennants together with heavy jute cord and hot glue, then tied on some Nightshift Blue buttons and Banana Split buttons between each pennant with hemp cord.

And that’s it! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
